Compact Military Shotgun Requirements

Pro Patria is named for the founder's unit, 4-31 Infantry "Polar Bears" of the 10th Mountain Division. While serving as a Platoon Sergeant and later First Sergeant the ideals of how a military shotgun should be configured were developed. Those ideals were put to the test months later as our first units deployed beginning in October 2001. Not new ideals, but rather gathered from law enforcement, the training community and other DoD organizations. Beginning with US Army Special Operations Command, then Navy Riverine Units, Marine Corps Systems Command and the Army Soldier Enhancement Program, Pro Patria and it's partners have been refining the Mossberg 500/590 to meet service members needs since 2010.
